so i finally made it back home after putting quite some miles on my bike:
munich - jesolo - munich - bottrop - kobenvavn - göteborg - vänersborg - göteborg - tidaholm - göteborg - kiel - munich. 4200 km / 2600 miles total and the bike was running so strong she never let me down!!
the car & bike show in bottrop was the shit! thanks michi & draggers for hosting this awesome event. the weather was amazing and everybody enjoyed the show.
the drag race was good fun, too. good times and see you next year.

i met so many nice people on my trip and the list would be too long to mention everyone. a big thank you goes to the one they call Le Beef aka beefen aka mattias!!
thanks to you and your lovely girl for being such great hosts to a bunch of weirdos.
and thanks to the jokers car club for hosting a great event i will never forget. everyone was so warm hearted and friendly to me -- i really had a blast in sweden.

Jesolo Bike Week 2010

last thursday my friend martin and i were heading to italy. our first stop was at riva del garda, we arrived at around midnight after a 5 hour drive with no major trouble. the bikes were running strong and the rain didn't matter at all... we met martins uncles and his wonderful grandma who prepared breakfast and lunch for us before we left to jesolo.
after a mile my light was getting kinda weak and electricity was acting up. it took some time till we realized the battery was causing trouble and i needed a new one.
finally on our way to trento and then direction padova / venezia lane splitting and some real good riding. all of a sudden i realized martin wasn't following so i waited for some time and then turned and rode back to see what happened. pushing his bike to a gas station i knew something was wrong and he sure wasn't outta gas. he blew his primary belt so that was it for now.
that happened at around 4 p.m. and our friends from munich, the draggers, were so kind to get martin's van and drive all the way to trento (check their blog for more jesolo pictures http://draggers.blog.de
martin and i had to wait for about 12 hours at that goddamn gas station listening to stupid italian techno tance music coming from some speakers ... we nearly gone crazy but the rescue van was on its way.
at around 4 a.m. the others arrived and loaded martins bike in the van and we left to jesolo. after having some proper italian coffee and brioches we were chilling at the beach in jesolo until the show opened the gates at 11 a.m.
the show was a bit boring and i didn't like the music at all. i wonder where the dj from last year has gone cause he was real cool.
the show was pretty big and it was a shame that i wasn't really limited to the year of construction like last year.
but we met really cool people like scrapers from belgium, the mighty blaster from italy, dean & matt from dice magazine, rico fodrey and more....
check out my tank with awesome pinstriping by blaster (blasterville.com). he's such a cool and laid back dude!! his panhead is so beautiful - i dig the sissybar with the rat fink figure on top and of course, the bitchin tank and fender!!! can't wait to hang out with you again at the jokers show.

the whole journey was a trip and you can imagine how you feel after 50 hours with no sleep. it's good to be back but i can't wait to leave for bottrop and sweden. hopefully the fuckin rain stops cause it's been raining for 4 weeks non stop

chris, martin and i rode our bikes to the german / austrian border to camp out at an old deserted castle. had some problems when we were about to leave, chris noticed his oh so small peanut tank had a leak so he quickly mounted a spare one. we all realized the blue one looked even better on his sweeeet knuck. first test ride-- something like 130 miles total and she was running like a champ. this bike isn't a show bike but man.. martin and i had trouble keeping up on our shovels! lotsa nice twisting turns and a good amount of speed. good times good memories

before i left town to meet the others-
even the kids from the neighborhood were diggin the new look of my chopper and wanted to check it out

shortly before we left. well, shortly before the grey tank was changed with the blue one that didn't leak

our first stop about 1 mile from where we started. F-U-C-K-I-N rain

gassing up and meeting crazy dudes (note guy with the shopping cart)

we made it without any problems and before dark. well, almost

mr. brillmayr aka the cricket collected some semi-dry firewood and started a fire
